My Contribution

  • Separated, cleaned, and prepared a highly detailed Renault Zoe interior model for runtime customization.
  • Organized, optimized, and remapped UVs across hundreds of meshes without reducing visual quality.
  • Designed realistic interior materials and custom fragment shaders in RealityKit for runtime material changes.
  • Integrated the prepared assets and final scene setup in Reality Composer Pro.

Real-time car interior customization in mixed reality

  • A mixed reality visionOS demo that lets users modify car interior materials in real time.
  • I took an existing highly detailed Renault Zoe model, separated and prepared the meshes, cleaned the asset, remapped UVs, and optimized where possible without changing the final visual quality.
  • The prototype combined high-quality PBR materials with custom RealityKit shaders so different realistic finishes could look convincing on the same vehicle parts. It remained at prototype stage but gained strong traction in B2B demos.

Preparation Workflow

Most of the work happened before runtime. I took an existing highly detailed Renault Zoe model, separated the meshes, cleaned the asset, remapped UVs, and optimized where possible without changing the final quality.

That preparation made the customization reliable at runtime, because each surface was set up to support different finishes instead of a single fixed material.

Materials and Prototype Scope

I created custom materials and fragment shaders in RealityKit so different realistic interior materials could look convincing on the same vehicle parts during runtime changes.

The prepared assets were then integrated into Reality Composer Pro for the final scene setup. The project stayed at prototype stage, but it received strong traction in B2B demos.
