MLB Live Baseball VR App

Collaborating with Major League Baseball on their Baseball VR live game experience, we focused on incorporating augmented data visualization. Our objective was to develop and integrate a XR UI into the Unity project, featuring spatial data displays and visual effects. Additionally, we prototyped scenes to maintain a harmonious balance among all dynamic visual elements, enhancing the immersive viewing experience.

Key Responsibilities
    • Create visual effects to highlight 3D sports data
XR UI animations
  • The project primarily focused on the design and integration of animations for various spatial UI panels within the application. A key aspect of this project involved creating prototypes of interactive scenes to evaluate the arrangement of all animated visual elements in real-time.
    • Animated multistate UI spatial panel created as a prefab in Unity. Animated batting scene combining multiple visual data and effects
    • US Open 3D Viewer - Mobile/Web/AR screenshot 1
      • Design challenges arise from the ability to position XR UI elements at any scale, with animations triggered either by user interactions or game events. In a VR setting, it’s crucial to ensure these elements do not obstruct other significant visual components in the scene.
      • This necessitates a blend of technical development expertise in Unity and a strong design focus to craft a well-balanced immersive viewing experience.
      • On the technical front, I built previously validated previews within a fully functional Unity prefab, utilizing scriptable responsive UI elements while adhering closely to the visual design.
      • Skills utilized include:
        - C# scripting for triggering animation events and calculating distances and speeds
        - Animation for smooth playback of animated sequences
        - Visual design for integrating specific effects (custom shaders) and 3D/2D elements into the scene.
